One of the first locations overseas where we built a clinic, we have been working here since 2006 when Dr. Vanderpool went over for the first time with Asher Intrader to visit Iris Ministries.

MMDR has returned at least once every year since then. We have built and maintained a number of clinics in the region from Pemba to Mieze and also provide a mobile medical unit (MMU) which is a landrover outfitted as a 4X4 ambulance.

We take the MMU way out into the bush, to places completely devoid of any medical aid, and serve the  locals by providing essential parasite, malaria, and anti-infection medications. Partnering with Iris Ministries, after we help meet the people’s medical needs Iris comes in and preaches the Gospel.

This has been extremely effective resulting in entire villages coming to the Lord.
