We are aggressively raising money to purchase tetanus vaccine for Haiti. Tetanus is a highly fatal disease that is ubiquitous in the soil. Because few Haitians have been vaccinated, and many have sustained grievous wounds, the tetanus outbreak will be horrible in the next few months. If we vaccinate them soon, we can attenuate much of the mortality due to tetanus. If not, tetanus will claim more Haitians than did the earthquake.
