Mobile Medical Disaster Relief

Our mission is medical. Our motivation is faith.

About

Who we are:

MMDR is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit Christian humanitarian organization that exists to help fulfill the medical needs of vulnerable and underserved people in the United States and throughout the world. MMDR is a faith-based nonprofit specializing in building hospitals and clinics around the world in places of extreme need and poverty.

Where we are:

Our headquarters is in Brentwood, Tenn., but we have a presence in Iraq, the Palestinian Territories, Israel, Ukraine, China, Peru, Honduras, Haiti, India, Nigeria, and Mozambique.

What we do:

Currently, we provide medicines and other medical equipment to the clinics and hospitals that we have built and money to build further medical projects. As frequently as possible, we take medical expeditions to the sites that we support offering first hand medical assistance and providing the muscle needed to accomplish our projects. We also create and run micro-economic packages to help support the local communities.

What we need:

We need more funding. We need to be able to purchase more medical equipment so that we may provide for the different clinics and hospitals. We need to expand and organize ourselves, to move beyond the vision of a single doctor and become an organization capable of impacting a wider field of people.

How we operate:

The medical practice of Dr. David Vanderpool largely exists to fund this ministry. A percentage of the profit from Lave MD is taken and funneled into the needs of MMDR. This money goes to purchase needed medications and other medical equipment as well as fund the building of hospitals and clinics around the world. But this outlet is limited. With more money and with more donations our efforts could affect so many more people in need. Even with volunteer work to help sort medicines and other goods we could operate more efficiently thus serving the Kingdom more fully.
